Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about getting started? Here are the ones we hear most often.

Does MyPhysio take insurance?

MyPhysio is a cash-based practice. We do not bill insurance directly, but we can provide superbills so you can seek reimbursement through your out-of-network benefits. We also accept HSA and FSA cards. Medicare is accepted.

Do I need a doctor's referral to start?

No referral is required to get started. We can evaluate and treat you for up to two weeks without a prescription. If ongoing care requires physician coordination, we will handle that communication on your behalf.

What does a first visit look like?

Your first visit is a full assessment — typically 60 to 90 minutes depending on the service. Your clinician will identify what is driving the problem and build a personalized plan from there. You will leave with a clear picture of what is going on and what the path forward looks like.

Will I have to stop training while I am in PT?

That is not the goal. We design treatment around keeping you active throughout the process. You do not need to stop — you need the right help. Your clinician will build a plan that works alongside your training, not against it.

Do I see the same physical therapist every visit?

Yes — always. Every session is one-on-one with your assigned clinician for the full 60 minutes. No handoffs to aides, no divided attention. The same PT, every time.
